Week 6, Task 14

If libraries are custodians of information then libraries of the future will have no choice but to address the inevitable change in the staff/patron relationship because technology has changed the way we search, employ and display information.

I liked the perspective of Wendy Schultz when she states in her essay ".... libraries are not merely in communities, they are communities". To wear this 'tag', libraries have to meet the needs of patrons both as we know them now as well as looking forward. I suppose 2.0 (and in the future 3.0 etc) will help staff in meeting patrons needs in their search/display of information.

Very good observation. Libraries do have to change with the times and we are. Its an exciting time to be working in a library!
